The Ant under construction

“A Formiga em construção” (The Ant under construction) is a representation based on personal observation, in earthenware, glazed according to the traditional manual dipping technique. This purely decorative piece is ennobled by a body in natural or oxidized brass, manually cast in a sand mold. The unique combination of these two materials recreates a symbol of balance and elegance. The pieces are handmade and may show slight variations.

Packaging
The box is made of micro-fluted cardboard and wrapped in a paper sleeve, which contains an illustration and a summary of the short story “A Formiga em construção”, which tells the story of a dozen worker ants that met clandestinely “to discuss the state of things and boost the troops' morale”, a story to rethink. Translated into Portuguese and English.
